You have a few options in your quest to explore our great island.. Click on your best fit from our three unique ways to travel around Daufuskie and learn it's history!  Although Daufuskie is a small island, there is a lot to see so planning ahead and having a general idea of what you want to see will help make your time on the island more enjoyable and gives you a point of return next time you visit us!

Self Guided Golf Car Tours

 

Enjoy Daufuskie offers various adventures for the entire family. You may to choose to hop aboard a 4-passenger or 6-passenger golf cart for your own self-guided exploration through Daufuskie Island’s historic district, beautiful isolated beaches, and its unique art galleries.

Guided Bus Tours
Another great tour is the historic guided bus tour.  A knowledgeable local guide will delight you with fascinating stories of Daufuskie’s past and provide the latest news on modern day Island events. Along this 2 hour tour, you will visit over a dozen historical points as you step back in time to learn about Daufuskie life during wartime and the culture of Gullah. Click the bus picture for a brief listing of Daufuskie Island historical points. Reservations are required. This guided bus tour is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. 

 

Dolphin Watch
Set sail on the Calibogue as you depart from Broad Creek Marina on a narrated dolphin watch tour. Your journey takes you through the Broad Creek and Calibogue Sound to Daufuskie Island’s Freeport Marina. You will have a chance to spot Atlantic Bottle-nose Dolphin and other wildlife native to the area. Snacks and drinks are available onboard at an additional cost. When you arrive at Freeport Marina, you can choose to depart onto Daufuskie Island for an afternoon of exploration (on a guided tour or golf cart rental), stay for lunch or dinner, or simply stay aboard the Calibogue for a pleasant return trip to Broad Creek Marina. This dolphin watch tour last approximately 2 hours round trip. Reservations are required.
